The internet is an international network of computers.
It is the network of networks, made up of millions of computers
at universities, businesses, government agencies, and homes all
over the world. It is connected by telephone lines, satellites,
cable TV, mobile phones, microwave, and existing local area
networks... basically any method that allows computers to connect
and communicate. The primary network core is called the "backbone"
of the internet.
